Before joining TIL, George went travelling then lived in Sydney for a year to work. During this time, he worked in both wine sales and renewable energy sales, sharpening his communication skills and developing the ability to build strong client relationships in consulting.
George’s interest in data and analytics is closely tied to his passion for sport. He recently managed a project for a Premier League club, leading the analysis of academy training data and overseeing the delivery of three Tableau dashboards alongside an end-to-end data preparation process. The resulting solution is used by analysts and coaching staff to generate performance insights and support player development.
Living in both Cornwall and Australia has also sparked George’s fascination with the data behind surf forecasting. This includes how weather systems and swell patterns shape the way waves break along our coastlines. He is often seen checking forecasting apps for updates.
He studied Business Economics at the University of Exeter and outside of work, enjoys football, surfing, running and yoga.
