Gerard Najarro

Gerard is a Data Analytics Consultant at The Information Lab who believes the best data solutions begin with understanding the people and problems behind the data. He holds a Master of Science in Data Science from Eastern University and a Master of Education from Rutgers University.

Before joining The Information Lab, he supported data operations at the International Rescue Committee, where he managed client data, developed dashboards, and automated reporting workflows that helped staff make more informed decisions. He also spent several years teaching in schools and hospitals across New Jersey, where he developed a passion for breaking down complex ideas for diverse audiences. Today, he combines that communication-focused mindset with technical expertise to help clients build practical, impactful analytics solutions.

During his time at The Information Lab, Gerard has developed strong skills in data preparation and visualization, working extensively with Alteryx, Tableau Prep, Power Query, Tableau, and Power BI, including DAX for calculated metrics. He has sharpened best practices around structuring dashboards for clarity, prioritizing the metrics that matter most, and presenting data insights with context rather than just visuals. Coming from a background in education, Gerard approaches data work with an emphasis on making complex information accessible and easy to act on. He enjoys both the analytical side of data work and the conversations with clients that shape a project's direction.

Outside of work, Gerard enjoys reading, running, and attending West Coast Swing events.
