Nicola Hütz

Nicola has worked as a secondary school teacher of Modern Foreign Languages in the southwest of England. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from the University of Passau and a Master’s degree in Culture and Organisation from Leuphana University Lüneburg, both in Germany.

Nicola was looking for a career change which would allow her to apply her analytical and communication skills in a new context. The Data School was recommended to her and she was drawn to the consulting aspect, the focus on problem-solving, and the opportunity to explore a more technical role. During the application process she taught herself Tableau and discovered a genuine passion for data visualisation. While her background isn’t in data analytics, her experience in teaching and sociology are an asset to understanding key issues and translating complicated concepts.

In her free time Nicola enjoys hiking, skiing, and climbing, as well as going to gigs and other cultural events. She is a self-proclaimed linguistics nerd, always ready to wow with a fun fact on languages.
