by Tobias Thormann

During our every day work it can happen that we forget about a task we were given. Our days can be very busy and we very seldomly have time to work on a newly assigned task right away. Now, what should not happen is that you completely forget to finish a given task.

Luckily there are many tools that can help you keep track of your work. You might be one of the persons who can get better organised by writing down task on a sticky note and place the most important ones onto your screen, but do not overdo it.

You can also use a notebook to keep track of your tasks, but there are some software solutions that can help you as well.

A solution for you could be using Trello (https://trello.com/) as a way to organise your work. You can create different boards, set timers, reminders and deadlines or assign team members to a task.

Microsoft has some built-in features to help you organise your work as well.

You can create different groups or labels in Outlook to keep track of your tasks. You can use the Follow-Up options to set a reminder for an E-Mail to keep track of the response, to answer the E-Mail or to work on the assigned task. Simply use this button in Outlook:

Another option from Microsoft is “To Do”. With “To Do” you can create To-Do lists and it even synchronises your E-Mails which you have flagged with a Follow-Up.

As a conclusion, it is important to keep track of your tasks and there are many ways to do it. You just need to find the perfect way that fits for you. Here are some options:
